About
Biography
A life-long resident of the Washington, DC area, I have been a working artist for more than 30 years.
My training includes a BA in Studio Art from the University of MD with concentrations in Painting and Printmaking, as well as coursework at the Corcoran School of Art, and graduate work at the George Washington University.
I have exhibited in both private and public galleries. My works are in private collections and public spaces.
Artist Statement
I have always thought of myself as an artist. I was fortunate from a very early age to have been guided by wonderful teachers and my own passion to develop both the desire to create, and the techniques to produce.
Painting, on canvas, paper or other surfaces is always my ultimate joy and most profound struggle. Often it is music that I see as color and shape evolving on the canvas or other surface that gives birth to a work. This, for me, is the most creative process, where flow most naturally occurs.
